Santa Creu (Catalan for Holy Cross) extra virgin olive oil pays homage to the 11th-century Romanesque hermitage of Santa Creu de Creixà, located in the municipality of Piera. Around the hermitage, there are centuries-old olive trees from which the olives are exclusively sourced to produce this very limited production oil.
This is a region marked by Mediterranean influence, with dry, hot summers and cold, humid winters. The soil where the olive trees for this magnificent extra virgin olive oil grow is clay-loam and poor in organic matter.
In this unique area, there are also hectares of forest rich in fauna and flora and a large number of organically grown vineyards. The harvesting of the oil from the Santa Creu plot is done by hand. A unique and exclusive gem.
This unique and privileged environment, along with the technical expertise in extraction, combine to create a complex extra virgin olive oil, bringing out diverse aromas and a very pleasant and balanced finish.
